Infection Control Report

Our high quality, rectangular sterilizers offer more functional chamber space and accessories.  A variety of sizes are available.   If clean steam is supplied your building, we offer direct steam-heated operation. If a steam source is unavailable, we can manufacture your sterilizer with a steam generator that fits underneath the chamber.  A separate steam generator is supplied for sterilizers with a chamber size larger than 24" x 36" x 48".

The Steromaster Mark V Microcomputer Controls - 'MC' Models are our most sophisticated control system. 

• You program and monitor all sterilization cycles with an easy-to-use, menu-driven interface. 

• The thermal printer makes a record of the sterilizer's daily activity. An optional impact printer with a take-up spool is also available. 

• An optional RS-232 port for downloading sterilization data to external memory is available. 

• Complete diagnostics check of all the system functions before and during each cycle is performed by the control system. 

• User-friendly HELP key presents a complete description of each menu right there on the CRT screen. 

• Full 80 column and 25 line CRT display allows you to observe all crucial sterilization data on one full screen.

Steromaster Mark II Digital Controls 'PB' Models - have a digital timer, an indicating, controlling and recording thermometer and a push button cycle selector.

• Set a cycle's duration with the digital timer and set temperature with the indicating, controlling, and recording thermometer. 

• Choose a cycle with the push button selector: fast, fluid or dry. 

• The sterilizer automatically exhausts at the end of each cycle. 

• The indicating, controlling and recording thermometer marks the cycle's progress on chart paper to give you a record of the sterilizer's daily activity. 

Steromaster Controls 

• Close emergency manual bypass valves and open steam supply valve. 

• Set sterilize and exhaust timers and cycle switch for desired time and cycle. 

• Read sterilizer gauges to monitor chamber temperature, jacket pressure and chamber pressure. 

• Cycle progression will also be indicated by the cycle indicator lights.

• At end of cycle, chamber exhausts to zero, buzzer sounds and operator may open door. 

Steroflash Controls 

• Close emergency manual bypass valves and open steam supply valve. 

• Set sterilizer timer and cycle switch for desired time and cycle. 

• Read sterilizer's gauges to monitor chamber temperature and pressure.

• Cycle Progression will also be indicated by the cycle indicator lights.

• At the end of cycle, chamber exhausts to zero, buzzer sounds and operator may open door.

Manual Controls do not have a timer or buzzer to indicate a cycle's progress.

• Open the steam supply and set the pressure control to set temperature.

• Time the cycle with a stopwatch. 

• Read the sterilizers gauges to monitor chamber temperature, chamber pressure and jacket pressure

• Close the chamber supply valve. 

• When your cycle is complete, open the steam exhaust valve. Chamber will exhaust to zero and operator may open door.

Exhaust 

Automatic Condensate Exhaust mixes cold water with steam as it exits the sterilizer. The control system activates the water inlet valve automatically during exhaust cycle. 

Manual Condensate Exhaust mixes cold water with steam as it exits. The sterilizer operator must open the water inlet valve during exhaust cycle. 

Atmosphere Exhaust releases exiting steam to the atmosphere.

This patented technology prevents the escape of infectious bacteria from the sterilizer.  It can be sized to accommodate any model and it may also be retrofitted to your existing sterilizer.

Mounting 

Cabinet mounting for freestanding sterilizers is stainless steel casing fitted over the sterilizer frame. 

Recess panel mounting for sterilizers mounted into a wall opening consists of stainless steel trim strips to fit over edges of the wall cut-out.

Double Doors 

Double door, or pass-through sterilizers are for clean room/dirty room facilities and are available with the accessories below:

Cross Contamination Bioseal on the recess end of the sterilizer prevents bacteria migration and maintains the integrity of your clean room.

Electric Door Interlock prevents both doors from being opened at the same time. The operator must open either door with a key. 

Mounting Combinations are stainless steel, recess panel mounting on dirty and clean side or stainless steel, recess panel mounting on one side and stainless steel cabinet on other side. 

Vacuum Operation 

Vacuum operation is available with Steromaster Mark V Microprocessor Controls only. Choose vacuum operation if:

• You are sterilizing hard-to-penetrate items. 

• You want to dry sterilized items quickly and thoroughly. 

• You want to minimize cycle time to increase the life of surgical instruments.

A vacuum system draws air from the chamber to allow steam to more effectively penetrate packs, bedding and other hard-to-penetrate items. Choose from three vacuum cycles: pre-vacuum, pulse-vacuum and post-vacuum. 

Other Accessories 

ASME Code Stamping is the inspection and authorization stamp of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, which is required by law in most of the U.S. for pressure vessels and electric steam generators.

Loading cart and transfer carriage is a wheel-mounted cart that holds items to be sterilized. The loading cart rolls from the transfer carriage onto the interior chamber tracks for easier handling of heavy loads. 

Automatic feed water pump boosts feed water pressure for water fed to the boiler if you do not have minimum pressure of 45 PSIG. 

Automatic jacket blowdown brings jacket and chamber pressure down at the same time to prevent liquids from boiling over and to prevent media from burning. 

All stainless steel construction is available for the jacket, chamber, or all wetted parts of the sterilizer for tissue culture purposes.

Automatic generator blowdown flushes water from steam generator to prevent impurities from building up and minimizes maintenance. 

140⁰ F Cooling valve for facilities that must meet strict regulatory guidelines, cools condensate (hot water exiting the sterilizer) to 140 F. 

Low temperature controls are available for sterilization between 172 F and 211 F (78 - 100 C).
